Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure is six to eight times richer than farmyard manure. This product is a popular choice amongst gardeners who are looking to use a 100% natural fertiliser.
An ideal organic feed for flowers, garden lawns, vegetables, potted plants and hanging baskets, containing trace elements for soil nutrition.
Improves soil fertility
6X Chicken manure pellets feed the soil rather than the plant. To get maximum results from this product, it needs to be mixed thoroughly with the existing soil. Always water in plants and crops once they have been planted to ensure nutrient uptake through the roots.
The chicken pellet manure can be stored in an airtight container for future use.
These containers can be reused and recycled.
How To Use Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure:
These application rates are to be used as a guide.
For general digging, feeding and soil conditioning, one bucket of 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure will treat approx 60 sq.m. When applying to garden lawns, one bucket should cover approximately 110 sq.m.
Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure for Flowers, Vegetables and Soft Fruits:
Apply two to three handfuls per sq.m. When planting add a good handful as a top dressing when required. Avoid direct contact with tender young plants - scatter the pellets roughly 50 to 80 mm away from the young plants and work the poultry manure into the soil. For heavy feeding plants, repeat the application at 2-3 week intervals.
Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure for Roses:
Apply two to three handfuls to each rosebush when planting. For established rosebushes, apply one to two handfuls when the buds appear and then again after deadheading for a potential second wave of blooming.
Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure for Garden Lawns:
Aerate the lawn well, then scatter two handfuls per sq.m. Brush the poultry manure into the aeration holes as this will enrich the soil under the turf. Irrigate in well after applying. This product cannot be used after applying other high nitrogen feeds.
Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure as a Liquid Feed:
Dilute one to two handfuls of pellets into 4.5 litres of water. This product is great to use on tomatoes and cucumbers in grow bags. Any residue from the mixture can be used as a mulch on garden soil.
Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure for Potted Plants, Hanging Baskets and Window Boxes:
Apply about two handfuls when planting. During the growing season, top up the feed with a pinch or two of the pellets and irrigate thoroughly.
Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure for Composting:
Scatter a handful of the pellets into each layer of material to be composted to help enrich compost and to add some trace elements.
Lime:
Never apply lime and 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure at the same time. Allow at least three weeks in between applying the lime and some additional wet weather.
Vitax 6X Pelleted Poultry Manure for Soil Conditioning:
6X Pelleted Poultry Manure enriches the soil rather than directly feeding the plant. The rate of application for using this product as a soil conditioner, depends on your soil. Any amount applied as a soil conditioner, will have a positive effect. Make sure to mix it thoroughly into the soil and avoid contact with unmixed manure and young delicate plants as applying this product in those instances would be too rich.
Always water this product in well after applying.
